How to Clean Your Hot Tub

Jun 09, 2020Alessandro Ursino

Having a whirlpool bathtub at home is a great way to add a touch of luxury to your daily life.

From relaxing sore muscles after exercise to calming your mind with a relaxing bath, whirlpool tubs offer many benefits.

Although it is often difficult to notice, tubs can however harbor bacteria and retain soap and body oil residues in the pipes.

It is important to regularly clean the jets of the tub to ensure continued operation and to guarantee clean water free of bacteria.

We always recommend avoiding using certain products in whirlpool tubs, such as baby oil and bubble bath, to reduce foam buildup and fill the tub with hot water, keeping the jets active for 15-20 minutes after each use.

Even the most careful users will still need to do a deep cleaning every 7/10 whirlpool sessions or at least once every two months if not in use.

This operation requires just a few simple steps!

Fill the tub with water to the intended operating level, pour a dose of the product into the water, then start the system for a few minutes (15/20). At the end of this first cycle, stop the system for about 30 minutes then perform a new washing cycle (15/20 min.).
Finally, after the washing cycle is complete, drain the system and clean up any residue that may have settled on the tub surface. Once the shock treatment cycle is complete, it is advisable to keep the system sanitized with idronet sanitizing solution to prevent the formation of new organic deposits.
