There are real specialized centers that make beer and its derivatives their main element on which to base beauty and relaxation treatments.
HOP-BASED AESTHETIC TREATMENTS
The passion for beer and the wellness cult have today found a common ground in this new trend coming from Eastern European countries.
It may seem absurd but beer has a lot of beneficial elements: they are rich in vitamins and precious metals:
- it is rich in antioxidants and is excellent for stimulating metabolism
- hops and malt are rich in vitamins and precious metals
- brewer's yeast contains a lot of vitamin B which helps strengthen hair, also promoting tissue regeneration
Clearly the beer used in treatments is not the one we are used to drinking in a beer hall, but is properly brewed (Brewing: term that indicates beer production) for exclusively therapeutic purposes and cannot be drunk.
The beer used will have different characteristics from the one we consume:
- very low alcohol content
-
more vitamins
- more folic acid
-
more carbohydrates
- more proteins
BUT HOW ARE BEER TREATMENTS PERFORMED?
Treatments can be of different types: from baths to saunas, from brewer's yeast masks to hop massages.
There is a procedure that can however differ from facility to facility, but in general the mechanism is as follows:
You immerse yourself in a tub full of beer for about twenty minutes.
You proceed with a sauna scented with hops, which helps eliminate all harmful substances from the body for another fifteen minutes.
You immerse yourself in another tub full of warm water (cooling immersion).
Subsequently you lie down on a bed of wheat straw, so that all the beneficial substances of beer have time to be absorbed by the body.
